It’s BOOKFAIR time! 📚 Please pray with us! 🙏

In just a few days, 3 to 4 million people will be descending upon the Cairo International Book Fair, from January 26 to February 6.  We have been working hard to prepare for this unique opportunity. Many of our customers wait from one year to another to visit our stalls, looking for the special discounts and new products. For many, this is an annual friendship, an ongoing dialogue from bookfair to bookfair.
 
This year we will have a Digital Campaign onsite, with the goal of promoting all our free digital products, and encouraging Bookfair visitors to download our various Apps and read the Bible.  A big countdown timer will promote a daily competition there at our booth, with a big screen showing live results as participants answer questions after reading specific passages. The top three winners will receive vouchers (400, 300, and 150 EGP) to use for our products.  If the idea is successful, we will have up to four competitions/day.  Our “Digital Agents” (Computer Science student volunteers) will be circulating constantly, encouraging and helping people download our Bible Apps and learn how to use them, explaining all the wonderful features available. Pray that this will really cause a commotion and attraction, gathering lots of people to our booth. Please also pray for protection from anyone who might want to ruin this idea.

As in the past few years, we will also be running a country-wide competition for our Bible-In-One-Year App (with 3,000 daily users). Each day during the bookfair we have a quiz on the daily reading, with 10 winners/day who receive a 50% off coupon to use in any of our stores, online, or at the bookfair.

As usual, our calligraphist will be there at the bookfair as well, writing Bible verses for our visitors in the beautiful Arabic script. Please pray that each piece of literature distributed (print and digital!) will be used by God to bless and draw people closer to Himself.

Also… starting today, we will also be holding four Mobile Bible World events in Upper Egypt!  Thousands of children are eagerly waiting for this adventure designed to connect them with the Bible in a personal way, and giving them confidence in the reliability of God’s Word. Please pray for the health and safety of all.  Our local teams are working from early morning till late night to create the experience, spending weeks away from home, as these four events will be held one after the other to fit into this mid-year break. We expect to serve more than 15,000 children, as each event runs tours for 4 days, with at least 1,000 visitors/day, if not more!  These are long and exhausting hours, given with enthusiasm, impelled by love for each child for whom most of the information is completely new. Please be praying for each child, that this Bible encounter will be a significant step in their spiritual journey, to further strengthen and establish their faith.
